Day 40: Overcoat Fold

overcoat coat pocket square fold
The “Overcoat” fold is a fun fold that takes advantage of using 2 pocket squares on a single fold. I usually prefer to use one solid and one patterned pocket square. Here is how you create the overcoat fold.

Day 38: Rose Fold

rose pocket square fold
After a couple days in a row of featuring pocket square folds using more than one pocket square, I thought it would be time again for a simple fold using just one single hanky. The so-called “Rose” fold looks fantastic when created with solid white, red, or pink silk pocket squares. I prefer pocket squares that are medium in size of about 11-13 inches squares. Here is how you create this “Rose” fold:

Rose Fold Step-by-Step:

A loud and glamorous pocket square fold is the so-called “Bird of Paradise”. It is an eccentric fold that looks fantastic with all silk pocket squares. It requires 2 pocket squares as well as the help of a rubber band. Here is how you create this fold:

Day 36: Ice Cream Fold

Ice Cream Pocket Square Fold
A playful fold that is most fun when created with two bright and contrasting colored pocket squares. I usually wear this fold with red and white pocket squares during a 4th of July party along with my American Flag striped bow tie, blue blazer, and light blue shorts. Here is how you create this fun fold:

Day 35: American Beauty

American Beauty pocket square fold
Similar to the Scallop Fold is the so-called “American Beauty” fold. While it may look somewhat similar to the Scallop fold, it is more rounded and resembles the look of a red rose. It is a fantastic formal fold for all solid pocket squares. I prefer this fold when wearing my dark suits in navy, charcoal, or black to a black-tie optional function. Because it requires multiple folds, it is best suited for larger pocket squares that are at least 13 inches squared in size. Here is how you create this fold:

Day 34: The Rooster Fold

Rooster Pocket Square Fold
Another eccentric pocket square fold that requires the use of two hankies, is the so-called “Rooster”. Because there is already much going on here, I suggest you work with either two solid colored pocket squares, or just one that has a pattern while the other is a solid plain one. In the fold above I am using a white linen square with red bordering, as well as a solid red one. Here is how you create the fold:

The Rooster Pocket Square Fold Step-by-Step:

Day 33: The Fleur De Lis Fold

Pocket Square Fleur De Lis
The so-called Fleur de Lis fold is one of the latest folds I discovered. I enjoy wearing it the most with thin silk pockets squares in bright colors and bold patterns. I tend to wear this fold less often with a suit, and more often with casual sports coats. Here is how you create this fun fold:

Fleur De Lis Pocket Square Fold Step-by-Step:

Day 32: The Mount Fuji Fold

MT Fuji Pocket Square Fold
Since we featured the “3-Peaks Fold” yesterday, I thought I stick to the Mountain theme by featuring the Mt. Fuji fold today. It looks similar to the One Tip Up Fold with the main difference of having a differently colored base at the bottom. It is another one of those folds that requires the use of two pocket squares. To get the most of this fold, I suggest two differently colored pocket squares. Usually I use a patterned pocket square for the tip, while I like to use a solid colored pocket square for the base. Here are the detailed instructions:

Mt. Fuji Pocket Square Fold Step-by-Step:

Mt FujiLay both pocket squares down flat.

Mt Fuji FoldFold the pocket square that creates the mountain into a triangle. The other pocket square gets folded in a narrow and long rectangle.

Mount Fuji Hanky FoldTug the pocket square into your breast pocket so that both pocket squares are visible.

Day 31: The 3 Peaks Fold

3 Peaks Fold
The three peaks fold is another one of those unique folds that requires the use of 2 pocket squares. To get the most out of this fold, I suggest using 2 differently colored pocket squares. I prefer either two solid colors, or one patterned pocket square paired with a solid colored pocket square in complementing hues. Here is how you create this fold.

3-Peaks Pocket Square Fold Step-by-Step:

Three PeaksStart out with 2 pocket squares. Lay the both down on a flat surface.
